The (belated) [hex] Report

Hey everyone-

Things have been pretty hectic on the Nerdapalooza side... more from being really busy than anything else... so it's been a good hectic.  The BIG thing for us right now is the Nerdapalooza Presents show tomorrow in conjunction with A Comic Shop. 

Tomorrow, MC Frontalot, MC Lars, and YTCracker descend on Orlando, increasing the nerdcore rating to levels nearing Nerdapalooza days.  They start their time here with us at A Comic Shop from 5 - 6 PM, giving signatures, hanging out, and the like.  It is sure to be a fun time for all!!  Then, at 8 PM, the doors for the Black Box Collective will be opening for us to all rock hard with them.  Oh!  Did I mention that hometown heroes, Emergency Pizza Party, are going to be there to rock hard with all of us?  It's $10 to get in, and there will also be soda and pizza to purchase.  This will also be the LAST Nerdapalooza presents show of the 2008 year.  You NEED to be at this event because it is gonna be a BLAST!!

Next is an announcement... I had the option of slacking on all of my duties and putting together a sexy Top 100 for 2008... or keeping up with my duties and not doing the Top 100.  Well, I have decided to not worry about the Top 100 for this year.  Instead, I'm going to work towards making it possible to do it for next year.  Until then, I am going to keep working on Nerdapalooza and other satelite projects and make them beautific!

On to the news!!  The bad news first, yesterday Mad Hatter of Scrub Club Records announced that Midwest Nerdfest was cancelled.  You can read all the details here on the blog.  There is no mention of if this is a permanent cancellation or postponing it for a year.  Here's hoping for option two.  However, in AWESOME news, Overclocked Remix (the amazing video game remixer community) has recently teamed up with Capcom (yes... the video game company) and for the first time EVAR, a major video game has been scored entirely by fans.  You can read all about it off of OC Remix's site, but I definitely want to congratulate Shael Riley and djpretzel for directing this album and making it become a reality.
